SCRIPT TO INDIE™
YOU CREATE STORIES, WE LOVE STORIES
A public review or a private critique. It's your call, it's your review
IN CASE YOU'RE WONDERING, this entire page is written as if it were a review for a project. The social share buttons above are only for demonstration and if this were a real review, their presence would be optional. It's your review, you and you alone should have the power to make it public. Not us.
Welcome to our about page, nice to see you. Here at Script to Indie™ we know the value of a thoughtful review - and be it a glowing critique for a stellar production, or a fair balanced review of a not quite perfect film, we'll make sure you have control over who sees it. You'll notice we have no social pages and no list of completed reviews, only a search bar for the ones made public. This is by design because we know, once the fat lady has sung, it's about you and your project - not us.
THIS IS HOW WE ROLL
Reviews, even of slightly less than perfect projects or first time adventures should be honest and helpful. Other than requesting regular, public reviews - many of our clients use our service during the final stages of post-production. These clients are not looking for a public review but are instead looking for general thoughts, tips, and unbiased opinions on what could make their project better. A test audience. Our writers will never simply state that a project isn't that good. Instead, they offer suggestions on how it could have been better - when and if needed. It's the way we roll and we're proud of what we do.
For project owners that choose to have their critique public and shareable, Script to Indie™ is an excellent resource to promote your film. Our reviews, both private and public, are written like any other review - complete with quotable phrases and honest to goodness thoughts. As stated above, we love independent and micro-budget movies, short films, and series. When you're looking for an excellent article to promote your project - we aim to be your first choice.
HOW IT WORKS
We've tried to keep things as simple as possible, bringing your project to life was stressful enough right? All you need to do is click on one of our "Get your film reviewed" links and fill out the form. Once finished, we will check the information and contact you with payment details. After that you will receive your personal, private review link, and decide if you want to share it or not. If it's a private review, we will make sure Google can't find it - only you will know it exists. In case you're wondering, you can change it back and forth from public to private whenever you'd like.
IS IT FREE TO SUBMIT?
Unfortunately, this is not a free service. However, we understand that micro-budget means not a lot of cash and have kept our price more than reasonable. For us, quality work means this is not a hobby - and as much as we love movies, some real work goes into watching, paying close attention and writing an excellent review.
When you consider a standard length film, watched once and skimmed through afterward for details and clarification - most times we're talking a few hours. Then, a review has to be constructed, checked, rechecked and published. The truth is that an average length film review from start to finish takes around three and a half, four hours - some much longer. Over ninety percent of our fee goes to the reviewer - ensuring we keep great writers. We wish we could offer our service for free but rest assured, we definitely won't break the bank. When you love what you do, prices tend to remain very low. We also attempt to pair a project with a reviewer who loves the genre - so don't be shy. If you have a B style film or a million dollar production, we usually have just the reviewer you're looking for.
Finally, we want to thank you for sticking around and considering our service. Had this been an actual film review, below you would find the trailer and underneath that, a comment section. Clean lines and easy to follow - the general mission statement of our site. We're just as proud to offer an easy way to receive feedback or promote your production, as you are to have finished it. Thanks for taking the time to read and please, help spread the word.
